Vector data; comprised of geospatial information, such as coordinates, addresses, cities, or zip codes, which form the invisible fabric of our world in the form of points, lines, and polygons. This is the type of data that I create and/or manipulate inside of ArcGIS Pro/AutoCAD.
And then Raster data; comprised of a grid of pixels. and each pixel contains a value representing a specific feature or characteristic of the area it represents. So, from the photographic perspective, each pixel represents values on the RGB scale (Red, Green and Blue) This obviously is what my camera produces, and the variable relationship between light and color is something I always will struggle to understand!
